Working very closely with a design team in Exeter, the head office of Crowdcube was to move from Exeter University (innovation centre) to the 4th floor of Broadwalk House, Princesshay in Central Exeter.
This location brought with it many challenges involving access to the site for contractors and materials, all having to go up four flights of stairs!!! The existing office space was stripped right back including the suspended ceilings and partitions.
With a new solid ceiling exposing beams and all services ran through trays this gave the space a very modern industrial type look. New walls were introduced to provide individual meeting spaces, along with a quiet lounge and a mindfulness room.
Clear open plan office space was complimented with stand alone meeting pods and a glazed screen into a breakout space. This breakout space was one of the more fun we have seen including a modern kitchen, games room type area with a pool table and table football and finished with fun seating.
With careful consideration given to lighting, decorations and graphics this office is a great place to work.
The project was completed on time and on budget and we still maintain a relationship with Crowdcube, undertaking various works and maintenance.
